Campaign Posters and Audio CD Released

Brinda Karat, Polit Bureau member of CPI (M) released the Audio CD and posters for Election campaign today. A set of four posters the audio CD with songs will be used in our campaign, all over the country.

Responding to queries from the press, Brinda Karat said the AICC report card on the West Bengal Left Front Government smacks of doublespeak. Not even a month ago, it was the same senior Minister Pranab Mukherjee who in public acknowledged the achievements of the Government of West Bengal. She also explained how West Bengal leads any other state in the country in terms of its achievement in addressing rural inequalities, hunger, health and education, and all that the Congress report talks reflects its desperation to attack the Left Front Government, instead of fighting the communal BJP, let alone the fact that its new found ally, the Trinamul, has been at the forefront to obstruct all development programmes in the state.

Brinda Karat also said that the BJP’s decision to field one of its senior most leaders, Jaswant Singh from Darjeeling is a shame. They want to ride on the back of a separatist organization whose only objective is to divide the state of Bengal. The people of Bengal have always opposed to all divisive forces, and they will give a fitting response to the BJP, she added.
