Overwhelming response for Grand Alliance
Khammam: 6th April, 2009: The very first day of joint campaign of Grand Alliance Leaders of TDP and CPI(M), N. Chandrababu Naidu and B.V.Raghavulu received an overwhelming response from masses and well-wishers. They stood in scorching heat to greet the Grand Alliance
Leaders with slogans and whistles into the streets of Madhira constituency of Khammam District. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Babu remarked that public response clearly shows that CPI(M) will definitely bag the seat of Madhira in the coming elections. He also ridiculed the ways and means adopted by the Congress Party to lure voters. A few days ago, Congress party’s star campaigners who organised a big rally in the district, distributed Biryani packets, Rs.200 in cash and half bottle liquor. Still they have received a luke warm response for their efforts. This only shows that Congress party has lost its winning chances” added Babu. He also told that the formation of Four Party Alliance left little smile on Congress Leader Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy’s face. In his tenure, Mr. Reddy who has looted public assets, is trying to hide them. People have to defeat such a factionist, culprit and most corrupted Leader and Congress party” told Naidu.
CPI(M) State Secretary B.V. Raghavulu alleged that Khammam is one of the most betrayed District in Mr. Reddy’s tenure. It stalled Dummugudem Tailpond project, Lakhs of tribes lost their homes with Polavaram design, seven innocent people of Mudigonda were killed for fighting for home sites, Privatisation of Singareni Coal Mines. All this show Congress Leadership’s betrayal. And Congress Leaders are not ready to talk on these issues. They are trying to attack personally. People have to deliver their verdict by voting out Congress party in the Elections, remarked Raghavulu. That will be the tribute to Martyrs of Mudigonda, added Raghavulu.
After the joint campaign in Madhira Constituency, a big rally is held in Suryapet Town(Nalogonda District). CPI General Secretary, A.B. Bardan, Chandra Babu Naidu, B.V.Raghavulu and TRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Nalgonda CPI Candidate S. Sudhakar Reddy and other leaders addressed the huge public meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, A.B.Bardan expressed dissatisfaction over Congress rule. He told that Congress is treading the path of BJP which went after “India Shining” concept and lost drastically in elections. In its tenure of five years, Congress Party made many promises, but never fulfilled any. Grand Alliance is formed to put an end to the rule of corrupt Congress Party and for that the people of the State should elect the candidates of Grand Alliance, added Bardan.
