Kannur: CPIM politburo member Sitaram Yechury has asked the Union Government to cancel the missile contract with Isreal and order an investigation into the allegation that somebody received kick back to the tune of Rs.900 crore. He was addressing meetings organised by Left Democratic Front as part of the election Kasargode and Kannur districts in Kerala. Yechury said A K Antony, the Defence Minister, who claims to be Mr Clean, was trying to shield the culprits. Instead of black listing the Israel company, which is facing a CBI proble over its Barak Missile deal with India during the NDA regime, the UPA government made another contract with the company in question to the tune of Rs.10,000 crore. Indian Government is in a way supporting Israel which has been trying to annihilate the Palastien citizens, Yechury said.
